Conceived as a family summer nest for multiple generations, the grounds of this garden, arising between sky and sea, bathe in the sun from dawn till evening. Hence the ideal conditions are met for growing a large spectrum of sun loving plants, such as lavender, rosemary, myrtle, vervein, sage and thyme.
The owners desired a free configuration, with many summer blooming varieties in a pastel palette, that emulate the vast fields of Provence. On several levels the waves of sand coloured grasses undulate around rocks and stone walls.
The landscape is anchored by cypress trees, bringing verticality into the scenery like exclamation marks. The butterflies and other pollen-gathering insects, attracted by the nectar-rich clouds of flowers, contribute to the overall wild feeling of the garden.
